Cereal + Sandwich = Healthy Heart

You may know that eating whole grains lowers your risk of heart disease. But you may not know how little it takes to make a difference. When researchers at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center analyzed studies involving nearly 150,000 men and women, they found that people who ate more whole grains - an average of two and a half servings every day - had a 21 percent lower risk of developing heart disease. He have a bowl of oatmeal for breakfast and a sandwich on whole-grain bread for lunch and you're there - in fact, you're up to the three servings a day experts advocate as a way to cut the risk of other diseases as will.

Eat to Lose

These foods can help you lose, so stock your panty, then watch the pounds melt away.

APPLES. Toss your peeler - the pectin in apple skin makes you feel full longer.
GREEN TEA. Tea drinkers are 20 percent trimmer, according to a 2003 study in the journal Obesity Research (now called Obesity). Black tea is OKAY too, but a compound called EGCG in green tea gives you the best fat-burning results.
CURRY. Tamarind, a spice often used in Indian cuisine, contains a chemical called hydroxycitric acid that slows down fat production. So cook with curry, but pass on the fat-laden treats like samosas at Indian restaurant.
CINNAMON. The spice mimics your body's insulin, which stimulates fat cells and allows excess sugar to move out of the blood. Try to get a teaspoon a day - sprinkle over oatmeal or applesauce.
WHITE KIDNEY BEANS. Add them to your diet to boost your fiber intake and fill you up.

What's for breakfast?

Cereal with milk.

My mom did not cook us a food because she was in hurry. So, I just eat cereal for breakfast. Actually, I don't usually it cereal for breakfast because it's not enough for my body. I always get hungry during our class. That's why I need to eat rice. Rice gives more energy than cereal. I know they are bought carbohydrates but rice contains more calories.

Black Forest from Red Ribbon

Yesterday was my brother's 18th birthday. We gave him a present, a cake from red ribbon. I though he will like it but I was wrong. The cake doesn't taste good because of the rum they used. I don't know what kind of rum it was but it made the cake less tasty. But anyway, still thumbs up to red ribbon in their other cakes.
